Afghan Professionals

APC welcomes Afghan professionals from all disciplines, whether residing in Afghanistan or across the professionals, who seek to contribute their expertise to collective progress.

International Experts and Partners

International experts and partners who share APC’s vision of collaboration, neutrality, and professional excellence are welcome to participate and contribute.

Students, Researchers, and Practitioners

Students, researchers, and practitioners interested in gaining access to mentorship, knowledge exchange, and professional development opportunities are encouraged to join.

Membership categories

APC offers three types of membership. Choose the level that matches how you want to engage.

Full member

Afghan professionals

Wishing to actively contribute to APC’s sectors and programmes. Full members may vote within their sector and stand for elected roles.

Associate member

Supporters and contributors

Afghan or non-Afghan professionals who support APC’s mission and want to engage without taking part in governance. They can contribute to events and knowledge exchange but do not vote or hold elected roles.

Honorary member

Invited distinguished individuals

Invited by APC for their expertise or service. They offer guidance through the Advisory Council but do not hold operational or decision-making roles.

Member expectations and boundaries

To protect APC’s neutrality, clarity, and reputation, membership includes clear responsibilities and limits.

What we expect from members

  • Declaring conflicts of interest annually or when needed

What members do not receive

  • Political representation
  • Advocacy or lobbying support
  • Endorsement of personal work or projects
  • Influence on political structures or decisions
  • The right to speak on behalf of APC unless authorized

APC Neutrality and Engagement Principles

By joining APC, members agree to uphold these principles in all APC-related interactions.

  1. Strict Neutrality: APC is non-political and non-partisan. Members do not use APC spaces for political advocacy, representation, or influence.
  2. Respectful Engagement: Members participate with respect, professionalism, and openness to diverse views.
  3. Confidentiality When Required: Information shared in APC’s internal spaces must be treated responsibly.
  4. Responsible Knowledge Sharing: Members contribute accurate, thoughtful insights and avoid misinformation.
  5. Representation of APC: Members may represent themselves freely but may not represent APC without explicit authorization from the Executive Director.
  6. Cultural and Contextual Sensitivity: Members engage in ways that respect Afghan realities and the diversity of the global professionals.
Members may not speak on behalf of APC unless explicitly authorized.
